Ode to the World's End

A poem to raise awareness for the devastating environmental state our Earth is in now. Enjoy and review! (:

Ode to the World's End

Ignorance, or nonchalance?
The Earth no longer has the patience to care
Anger's warmth and bitter gentleness
threaten to overwhelm us.

The sea is famished
With mouth wide open,
It swallows the mountains of ice
It has been starved for too long.

The river's rain drown all
Rich, happy
sad -- dead
It is time to bury that dream in the falling rain.

It's getting difficult to breathe now,
Nature is taking back all due payment
I feel the breathlessness
I feel the hopelessness
Welcome,
to this beautiful sorrow.

Do you feel it?
